The power of Vulvas

vulvania, vulva art, pussy art, what is empowerment, women, wild woman, abuse survivor, feminist, women's rights

I’ve been fascinated by the female body for as long as I can remember.

Why did we grow up in systems and cultures where being a woman felt “not ok,” to say the least? In educational environments where modesty had structure and silence had rules? Meanwhile, inside my own body, everything felt intelligent. Magnetic. Alive. On fire.

Religion, society, patriarchy, and machismo have tried to shape women for long enough. Defined us. Contained us. Interpreted us

I no longer consent to that interpretation.

That contrast shaped me and ignited my need to live in peace with myself, the power that holds my femininity, and be driven from within.

I have always been a sexual being. At times loud about it, at times simply aware. Over the years, this essence has grown, matured, and changed shape many times. It remains one of my deepest fascinations, and a constant source of creation and conversation as an artist.

My relationship with my body has evolved continuously. In my early thirties, I stopped wearing the social hyper-sexual costume I had inherited, the one that defined how a woman should look, desire, belong, and behave, particularly in South America.

What remained was the very essence of self-trust, rebuilt anew, again.

Vulvania grows from that ever-evolving way of inhabiting my womanhood, and from the way it connects me to other women navigating theirs. First as a woman (of course) and then as an artist, also as a mother, now a grandmother, but also as a survivor of domestic and narcissistic abuse.

As I continue this work for myself, I also hold space for other women to reclaim their own authority, to reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies, and to live from that source, entirely, not just in some aspect of their lives. I do this through art and disruptive provocation, just because… I can, and they too.

Vulvania is a living exploration of the infinite power and intelligence sourced in our wombs and accessed through our vulvas, interdimensional portals of life and pleasure.

The Magic Behind The Science

The female organism is wildly sophisticated.

The womb operates through cycles, hormones, and nervous system regulation. It adapts. It recalibrates. It creates. Our bodies are in constant transformation because of this living intelligence, always reorganizing, always evolving.

And then there’s this: when a woman carries a daughter, three generations coexist in one body. Grandmother. Mother. Future child. Biology is subtle like that… pure magic!

When that future child is female, the continuity becomes even more layered! a lineage already forming within a lineage. Memory, pattern, possibility, echoing forward. It feels almost fractal, self-generating, self-evolving, expanding from within.

The more science maps the body, the more relational and intelligent it becomes.

The womb is a time machine, a cocoon that flows in sync with the oceans, and holds the secret.

The vulva is the portal! To that magical place, to other dimensions, literally and figuratively. The female species.

That’s my thing.

Pleasure Is Information

The same portal that can bring a human into this world can also dissolve your ego for a few seconds (and any ego, to be honest)

Orgasm reorganizes the nervous system. Sensation teaches you about your edges, your rhythm, your depth, and your POWER.

Female pleasure carries knowledge, a very important one, an ancient and primal one, the one that religions, and many men-led systems and structures pretend to own, control, shame, and judge.

But when a woman becomes familiar with her own body (not performing, not guessing), she moves differently in bed and throughout her life. She knows her yes. She knows her no. She knows when something feels aligned and when not, and as she learns how to openly vocalize her pleasure, she also learns how to share her needs, ideas, and desires.

That’s power. Quiet power.

And yes, there’s a reason culture revolves around the vulva. Generative power and sensual power live in the same house.

Time to own it! Live it! and share it!

The Woman I’m Speaking To

There’s a stage of womanhood where something shifts.

Where do we stop apologizing for our scale? Where the questions we’ve been carrying quietly start asking to be answered. Belief systems. Core values. The sacrifices we made without even realizing we were doing.

Something (or someone) brings us there. A heartbreak. A book. A body that needs to express emotions. A moment of radical clarity that doesn’t leave.

And little by little, we begin answering differently, without shame, guilt, and rage. Just from a cleaner place. A place that feels more accountable, kinder, imperfect, and alive.

We meet radical acceptance, which stops being a concept and becomes something we want to practice. We read. We research. We cross-reference. We recalibrate. We let go of paradigms that once made us feel small simply for being ourselves.

Does this sound familiar to you? You start choosing coherence. And life. And life is intense, even when it’s quiet. Especially when it’s quiet.

You learn your cycles. You adjust honestly. You say no, to others, to expectations, sometimes to your own old patterns. That’s an edge we all recognize when we reach it.

We reclaim sensuality in a way that feels good to us first. There’s no time or energy to tolerate performances or escape. Just pleasure. Real. Present. Ours. And from there, the woman we are stops being something to manage and becomes something to inhabit.

And this… this is where Vulvania lives.

Somewhere between my story, your story, and the stories we haven’t told yet about how we live our womanhood.

A space to honor lineage. Cycles. The intelligence of the womb. The quiet, magnetic power of the vulva! with respect, balance, and pride.

Through art. Through conversation. Through shared recognition.

Here’s a little bit of me.
A little bit of us.
And maybe, a little bit of you if these ideas resonate with you too, I feel you.
